We’re thrilled to share the news that Letterpress PLAY is participating in Fortlandia this year.
If you’re unfamiliar with Fortlandia, it’s a magical event held at one of our favorite places in Austin – Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Fortlandia is a place for adults and kids alike to enjoy inventive and whimsical forts made by local makers—like us!
Our Community Garden is an L-shaped greenhouse that will immerse individuals into the growing process of a community cultivated paper garden.
Co-designed by our founder and creative director, Kyle Hawley, and our community outreach manager (and freelance artist and creative producer) Jenna Carrens, the vision of this fort is for the community to partake in its ever evolving creation--watching it grow before their very eyes, while experiencing the movement, sounds, and touch of what makes a garden grow.
To watch our garden grow, follow our blog for updates.
Entry to Fortlandia is free with regular admission (you can reserve your tickets here) or for members, and is open every day starting October 3rd through January 31st.
We invite you to come and experience this truly unique Austin experience with us. (Pssst…October 3rd and 4th are for members only.)
Stay happy & stay well,
The Letterpress PLAY Team
