Before our production artists embark on printing a new greeting card, the letterpress must be prepared to ensure a successful print. It's a process of care, diligence, and expertise that produces beautiful, quality paper goods. Explore the process below to learn more about this fascinating step of letterpress printing!

The process begins by putting the polymer plate onto a steel base to help the polymer be type-high. Once that is complete, our team applies locally-sourced ink to the rollers or inking plate of the press, depending on the type of press we are printing on. Lastly, the steel base is locked into the chase and inserted into the press. Several test-prints are done to ensure packing, colors, density, and more are correct, then off they go! The team begins creating their next exciting project!
