After finishing a print job or switching between inks, we always are sure to give our beloved presses a good clean!

Not only does this preserve the accuracy and vibrancy of our ink colors, but it's also a labor of love that allows our printers to learn more about the press and its components. To clean, we use a grease and degrease method. Vegetable oil serves as our grease and is an eco-friendly solution to avoid solvents and effectively remove excess ink. Next, we degrease the press with a green, all-purpose spray.

This routine is an important part of the rhythm of the studio—honoring the press, protecting each print, and keeping our presses running smoothly. We do what we love—a love that is inked into every step of the process!
