The terms used for the anatomy of a letter have changed many times in history, and honestly, nobody can agree on all of them. I've heard a counter called a "knockout", which may be correct when referring only to lead or wood type. We did our best to include the most agreed-upon parts of the letters, assembled into this fantastical ligatured form dreamed up by collaborator David Hennessy.
